eGerbil makes the newspapers!

Just to keep you uptodate, I did a quick interview with one of the Independents (UK newspaper) journalists for their regular pet column in their Saturday's lifestyle magazine. Jamie Buckley, the author, did quite a nice piece on our fave pet,and I think put them in a very good light too. My main peeve with his article -

They are also fond of climbing – this is one of many traits which differentiate the gerbil from other pet rodents – so ideal points of interest would include toilet rolls (empty!) and a climbing frame.

They'd just chew it!

Otherwise very nice, hurrah on recommending deep bedding and a tank larger than a 10g, nice to see it getting out there at long last, although using the word 'cage' rather than tank is still going to find some gerbils in wire cages rather than glass or plastic tanks ...

lol, well it is a mainstream newspaper... and a journalist... what did you expect, something accurate?

You'd be surprised just how many emails I get like that on a daily basis from the eGerbil contact form even though I've put on there;

"You can leave a message using the contact form below. For any general or urgent gerbil enquiries, please go to the eGerbil forum"

I get them a fair bit too through the online shop / cafepress contact form ... Most are automated junk though, with titles like "Nhne103jjgNNG" to really make them stand out in my inbox.
