I'm just wondering which vet I should chose to use in Coventry to have Kenji neutered. I found one that actually has a website but something is off. I looked at the gerbil care area and they said to keep gerbils in a large cage and clean them out twice a week. They obviously have no idea how to keep gerbils which worries me. www.merialvetsite.com/sites/broadlanevets/special.php?content=veterinary_smallmainI was thinking about calling them tomorrow about it, but I am so scared of putting Kenji under anesthetic, I would never forgive myself if something happened to him... Yes, I am posting at 6:15am, I am still awake, yes I am insane and I haven't been sleeping.

Hey,
I would be rather worried about their information on the net... Suggesting to give them bones?? Odd, never heard that one before!!
Ask them if they regularly operate on small animals such as rats, hamsters and Gerbils. Their husbandry on Gerbils may not be the best, but this doesn't always mean they don't know how to perform the ops.
Gerbils are very hardy, and I can't remember the last time I heard of one not making it through the op, but if you're feeling he's looking at all thin/frail then I would think twice about putting him through it.
